The three different simulations a, b and c, are all results of simulations of the model with the active membrane term. Common for them is that the parameters α,β,γ,k₁,k₂,k_cn are given from the calibration results in (27), wheres as k_nc is varying. First simulation a shows the resulting simulation from the calibration, i.e. k_nc=0.342. In b nuclear export rate k_nc is lowered to 0.2 s⁻¹. In c it is further lowered to k_nc=0.05 s⁻¹
